Thank you Bill.
Habs and then home and home with the Caps.
Tough 3 games.
Realistically could see them going 0 for 3 here.
You never know with these guys, but the last few games have been pretty bad.
Yeh they had a nice win in Motown but their entire top line was missing.

Last night's game made me want to bench both Hartnell and Luke Schenn for the rest of the season. Both of those guys looked like AHL players last night. There really hasn't been a whole lot other than an occasional good play here and there for either player all season to recommend keeping them in the lineup.

This team just won't skate and work for a full sixty minutes. I don't get it. Something must be rotten in that dressing room. Voracek stops that short handed goal if he continues to move his feet and that's not the first time he has done that. Giroux himself has been guilty of gliding back on defense and watching a stoppable play result in a goal and he's the captain. Little talent and lack of effort is the ultimate recipe for failure.

We have a team that knows they can't get the job done, knows there is no one else in the system to push them, and the majority of players are signed for years for millions in end to at least fight if their getting their asses kicked. Mission accomplished last night

Im definitely not accusing this team of not putting in any effort, I will not blame any individual, this TEAM stinks. No chemistry, poor system, no speed. That is the only logical explanation for everyone of our "star" players miraculously having a slump season at the same exact time. With chemistry... they make crisp passses and find the open guy, there would be more time to make the play, take a shot, without a defender on your back. They are always a second late to every play in the offensive zone.

If it wasnt for Mason this team MIGHT have 4-5 wins at this point

It was his birthday yesterday so he didn't have to work as hard.

Watching this team have these decent first periods, is like waking up hungry going to the fridge seeing a carton of milk, taking a big swig right from the carton and realizing as it hits your mouth, it's about two days spoiled.

If they played the rest of the game like they did in the first 20 min, could have been a different story, Emery deflated the team with weak goaltending though. The physical approach was working, then they stopped.....

I actually thought the deflating moments were Meszaros attempting to stickhandle the puck lacksidazily (sp?) through the defensive zone, and then the 2-on-1 SH goal. Stupid, preventable plays that bit them in the ass. Once it was 3-1, the TV went off.

We often talk about the shoot out being a skills competition/gimmick which to an extent I agree. However seeing that we lose a majority if these "skill competitions" AND struggle to put the puck in the net during regulation, (two break aways last night on a third string goalie with no lamp lighting) is a telling sign of what this team is. It's not by any means the end all to how a team should be judged, but at at this point, from top to bottom, this team is not very skilled. It's a shame because there's a lot of salary being paid.

I'm far from ready to start airing out either goalie. The play in front of them has been nauseating. This team can play good hockey for a game or two then poop the bed for 3-4. It's really a shame.

I thought it was when Luke Schenn, once again, was defending air as a goal was scored.

Emery has been solid for the most part, and you cant blame him for last night either, but he put in a Bryz performance. He didnt make the saves that we needed. PERIOD. The team in front of him equally sucked.

Is it unrealistic to think that this team can gel and have a strong 2nd half of the season? Make the playoffs? I mean for as bad as they have been.... they are 3 pts out with a game in hand. They are lucky.....

Also... its time to break that 1st line up. Giroux and Voracek can stay together. I say grab Gagne, he played well with them last season and he can actually SHOOT. He is a smart player with some speed still also
